ETSOS usher in era of self-service conveyancing quotes for homebuyers
29th February 2012
Online search provider and conveyancing technology specialist, ETSOS, has announced the release of the latest version of its free-to-use Quotation & Referral System (QRS) – and a new era of self-service for homebuyers
Offered as part of ETSOS’s online search ordering portal, QRS has up to now been used largely by conveyancers and their local estate agents to help collaboration through the real-time exchange of costs and client data. Increasingly, however, law firms have also been using the tool internally to give customers telephoning in instant quotes for conveyancing on their chosen property.
This latest version, to be released at the beginning of March, takes things one step further by enabling law firms to embed QRS in their own websites and provide self-service pricing directly to the public.
Similarly, umbrella organizations such as franchised estate agencies, specialist networks and marketing groups can also offer QRS via an internal website, making this easy to use, quick to configure tool available to all their member firms as an attractive value add.
Commenting on the update managing director Phil Natusch said: “We’d always had it in the plan to bring out an embedded version but we’ve advanced development due to the excellent reaction to and uptake of QRS by law firms using it internally. The fact that they can create quotes for customers in less than a minute, complete with all relevant search and disbursement costs, and then email it while they’re still on the phone, has been a big hit. Unsurprisingly they were soon asking the question about making this a self-service function and giving the customer even more choice and flexibility when it came to getting quotation information. We’re always driven by what our clients want so we’re happy to accelerate this particular project.”
