New commercial portal proves popular

16th December 2015

As 2015 draws to a close we can reflect on a very successful year with lots of goings on. Committed as ever to making solicitor’s lives easier, we have been busy with  significant improvements bring property practitioners the easiest and quickest way to order conveyancing disbursements.

No where is this clearer than in our innovative commercial portal. We had long seen the limitations of existing systems and the frustrations that resulted and following 12 months of extensive research and consultations with practitioners and industry figures a prototype system was trialled by a number of firms. The last 12 months has been about fine-tuning the solution with feedback from users.

The resultant commercial portal combines all the traditional attributes; technology, usability and efficiency, and product range, with the practical needs of the commercial property practitioners:

Highlights include:

  • Full screen mapping functionality with eight zoom levels, ideal for large scale, non-addressed or agricultural land
  • Option to upload multiple plans
  • Bulk-ordering of OS1’s and OS2’s for multi plot sites
  • A bespoke portfolio facility to dramatically reduce the administrative burden associated with large-scale, complex transaction
  • Direct access to a dedicated, named Account Manager who is able to resolve any issues quickly and efficiently

For a complete solution to your commercial property needs call David Opie on 01524 220 001 and we’ll arrange a no obligation trial.

CPRs; the implications

In 2014 The Properties Misdescriptions Act was repealed and replaced with the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations, otherwise known as CPRs.

The main change was a shift in focus away from caveat emptor, or buyer beware, to greater transparency for those involved in the purchasing or renting of property where agents are historically famous for flowery language and an economic use of the truth! (more…)
