Insurance update

27th November 2012

The integration into the ETSOS platform of title insurance from Conveyancing Liability Solutions (CLS) has proved a real hit with the ETSOS user base. The ability to purchase searches and insurance products via a single screen with billing to the same account is saving both time and admin effort, as well as giving customers access to an excellent range of insurance products.

Please note a recent enhancement to the CLS interface that was made in response to client requests for a standard form to be available when ordering the policy. You’ll now find a ‘Statement of Demands and Needs and Suitability’  – this is an explanation to the client (buyer/seller/mortgagor) as to why a policy is suitable and explains the solicitor’s choice of CLS for fulfilling that need.

Key features of the integrated product set include:

  • Seamless solution means no separate website or accounting, delivering significant time and administration savings
  • Comprehensive product range cuts down on time spent “looking around” – and if there’s a product you need but can’t see, let us know and we’ll raise it
  • Competitive pricing could potentially save money for purchasers and vendors, with vendors often having to bear the costs of such policies to secure the sale
  • Instant quotes and policy downloads ensuring that policies are on risk immediately
  • CLS policies are underwritten by Munich Re, which has the benefit of AA-rated paper, the highest and most consistently rated cover available in this market.,
  • Commercial clients will have access to a dedicated underwriter at CLS with whom they can build a strong working relationship.

Our partner CLS has worked to regenerate the UK title indemnity market by adopting a simple and flexible approach which is capable of addressing a broad range of standard title risks e.g. restrictive covenants, absence of easements, through to more recent issues triggered by changes in law e.g. rights of light, village greens. Benefits include:

  • Most competitive premiums
  • Best in class cover
  • Expert, in-house, legally qualified underwriters for bespoke policies
  • In perpetuity cover
  • 200% Escalator clauses
  • Immediate cover online
