GroundSure update HS2 and Energy reports

24th January 2014

GroundSure has announced that their existing HS2 report now includes comprehensive location data on the Crossrail construction project in London at no extra cost. For a list of jurisdictions affected by HS2 click here.

The 73 mile route, due for completion in 2018 will run from Paddington in the West across the city to East and South Eastern connections, creating 26 miles of new tunnels and 10 new stations and intersections.

Crossrail is an important transport search enquiry, given significant local impacts to communities, homeowners and businesses during its construction phase, as well as important access rights.

The data provides the following key information:

  • The nearest point of the Crossrail route to land or property;
  • Whether this is tunnel or surface track;
  • Whether it is completed, under-construction or planned;
  • The position and details of nearby Crossrail worksites;
  • The position of nearby Tunnel Boring Machines;
  • The distance to any Crossrail station;

GroundSure has also announced that new datasets are being added to the GroundSure Energy Report to provide even more comprehensive analysis on installations and infrastructure. Solar energy arrays (or farms) are becoming commercially more attractive on prominent set-aside agricultural land nationwide, with strong concentrations in Devon, Dorset and Cornwall.

The report will contain the following additional features:

  • Location of existing and proposed solar energy farms (PV arrays) – unique to GroundSure
  • Large scale and strategic gas and oil pipelines
  • Yorkshire Carbon Capture and Storage Pipeline

These additions ensure that your clients can fully advise on visual and disruptive impacts of existing and proposed energy infrastructure for homebuyers and commercial property transactions.
