ETSOS Searches the UK

7th January 2014

Conveyancing search supermarket ETSOS has announced that it has added Searches UK to its roster of regulated search providers.

The move is part of ETSOS’s on-going commitment to give its clients as broad a choice of providers and products as possible, enabling firms to demonstrate an independence of choice and the ability to truly act in the best interest of their clients, key components of the Law Society’s Conveyancing Quality Scheme and Code of Conduct.

With market growth predicted for 2014, the move further boosts supply and competition, with Searches UK impressing ETSOS with its consistency of both turnaround and pricing. Andrew Stenning, Managing Director of Searches UK said “With the economic and housing recovery well underway and house prices forecast to continue to increase next year, we feel that now the perfect time for us to partner with ETSOS and offer our services through their system. Anyone ordering searches from us, through ETSOS, will be assured of a first class personal service at every stage of the process.”

Comments ETSOS managing director Phil Natusch: “We look very carefully at the capabilities and the values of the partners we bring on and, as members of CoPSO and followers of the Search Code, Searches UK is a very welcome addition to the ETSOS platform. We place quality, compliance and value firmly at the heart of our offering, ensuring clients can purchase regulated searches with complete confidence.”

Regulated searches are now accepted by the vast majority of mortgage lenders. The CML has a useful page on its website detailing lenders’ position on personals and any relevant provisos around acceptance – http://www.cml.org.uk/lenders-handbook/englandandwales/question-list/2080/
