ETSOS Round Up

27th November 2012

So it’s been a good quarter for product enhancements. We’ve already had great feedback on our handy little comparison widget, which has been designed to make compliance easier. If you’ve somehow missed it, then look at the ordering screen’s product tree! At a glance it enables users to directly compare not just the price but also the average turnaround times for the products selected. Critically these turnaround times are not taken from providers’ marketing spiel but based on actual historic data we hold.

In terms of search ordering specifically, it’s now also possible to view activity over multiple branches all at the same time – this is in addition to the existing branch and user level views

You’ve also been asking for more tweaks to the Quotation & Referral System and we’ve been happy to oblige. A recent update included:

  • Amendments to the workflow so it now handles management of the client care letter
  • Option to get a combined Sale/Purchase quote
  • The ability to save incomplete quotes, which can be regenerated later
  • Enforcing the capture of contact details up front in iFrame version, ie it is no longer possible for the public to get quotes without providing their contact details
  • Creation of a better work source/destination report for agents and law firms

Obviously our own development roadmap is well into 2013 by now and just as a little hint, we’re going to be adding something to the order capture process in the early part of the year. Can’t say too much just yet but just think Google and maps!

It looks like Christmas has come early courtesy of the Land Registry as they have chosen to lower their prices across the board – reductions which of course we’ll be passing on to clients. For example:

OC1 (Register/filed plan) reduced from £4 each to £3 each

OS1 (Official Search of whole with Priority) reduced from £4 to £3

SIM (Official Search of the Index Map) reduced from £5 to £4 (for no more than 5 titles)

We’ll also be holding our admin charges for these items at 90p inc VAT

And last but not least, keep an eye out as Santa ETSOS may have a little treat in store for you…
